Summer Positions Currently Available

Join our dynamic team for a summer of hands-on experience!

Summer Field Technicians:  Bob Taylor Engineering, Inc., located in Lexington Park in St. Mary's County, Md. has openings for two summer field techs.   This is a full-time summer position (May through August) and a great opportunity for   a college student considering civil engineering, environmental engineering, or the construction field as a career path.  Duties include performing soils, concrete and asphalt testing, as well as construction field reporting.  This positio also includes  on-site and hands-on training utilizing current American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods and geotechnical principles.  

Requirements:

1.  Must be a high school graduate and be currently enrolled in an accredited college            or university program;

2.  Must hold a valid driver's license and possess a clean driving record (NO POINTS);

3.  Must be able to pass a basic math skills test;

4.  Willing to work in an ever changing work environment, i.e. on site, laboratory, or              office;

5.  Construction background is preferred, but not necessary;

6.  Must be able to lift a minimm of 50 lbs.

Full Time Driller and Driller's Assistant:  Bob Taylor Engineering, Inc., located in Lexington Park, St. Mary's County, Md. is seeking an experienced, certified Driller and a Driller's Assistant.  Previous experience with geotechnical testing or well drilling is preferred.  This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a career in the civil engineering, environmental engineering, or the construction field.  A competitive benefits package is available to full time employees following a successful probationary period.  Some weekend work may be required.

Requirements:

1.  Must be a high school graduate;

2.  Must hold a valid driver's license and possess a clean driving record (NO POINTS);

3.  Previos experience with geotechnical testing or well drilling preferred;

4.  Driller candidates must hold current certification from the National Drillers           Association.

Full Time Field Technician:  Bob Taylor Engineering, Inc., located in Lexington Park, St Mary's County, Md. is seeking qualified full time Field Technician to perform, soil, concrete , and asphalt testing.  This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a career in the civil engineering, environmental engineering, or the construction field.  On-site training will be provided to the successful candidate.  The Field Tech will be trained on Metafield software and will use it to create and submit daily reports  A benefits package is available to full time employees following a successful probationary period.
